Content Explanation: This mural was done as a part of the After School Matters Program. I was the lead artist (I painted the portraits), and 20 youth from the Englewood Art Center assisted. The mural features the African American actors and musicians who have won Oscars. This includes Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Forest Whitaker, Halle Berry, Hattie McDaniel, Whoopi Goldberg, Jennifer Hudson, Mo'Nique,  Louis Gossett, Jr., Denzel Washington, Cuba Gooding Jr., Morgan Freeman, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Three Six Mafia, and Isaac Hayes.

This was a commission to promote the Xtreme Trampoline brand logo. Xtreme trampoline is an indoor trampoline park. I was hired to paint the brand's logo on the walls of the facility.

Content Explanation: This was a commission for Little Black Pearl. The mural was to pay homage to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and The March on Washington. Children from Bronzeville (in Chicago) helped to work on the mural. This was my first mural teaching project. It was painted at King High School.

Content Explanation: This is a commission from St. Ambrose Catholic School. The images of the students in the project were inspired by students from the school. I posed as Jesus, the yellow behind Jesus is meant to represent the Holy Spirit. The children are representative of the loving nature of Jesus' representation in the Bible.

Content Explanation: This was a commission for the Grenill University Black Student Union. It was representative of Hip Hop culture. It features portraits of Mos Def and Talib Kweli (hip hop artists). The piece was part of an event. We spoke at the event about the presence of Hip Hop in urban culture and society.

Content Explanation: I was hired by Jones College Prep to do a mural with their art department. The students wanted to develop a mural that promoted their school (mascot), technology, youth culture, and politics of the time. All of these images were put together and painted in a style similar to that of a magazine cover.
